OPEN CALL FOR ALL CATALYST ARTS MEMBERS

DEADLINE: SUNDAY FEBRUARY 2ND

As part of the upcoming exhibition "First We Eat.“ (Feb 6th – March 5th, 2020), Catalyst Arts issues an open call for members that focuses on food, consumption and the sensual, social and imaginative elements of eating.

"First We Eat.“ is set up as a site-specific and participative installation and brings together artists from Germany, Ireland and Northern Ireland (Julia Gruner & Liza Dieckwisch, Vera Drebusch, Paddy Bloomer, The Domestic Godless). At the end of the exhibition, a cookbook will be released as a collection of unusual recipes and personal food-related stories by the participating artists, Catalyst Arts directors and members.

All Catalyst Arts members are invited to submit recipes of their favorite dishes and utopian creations (and the stories behind it), stories of delicious (or disgusting) culinary experiences and their secrets what’s keeping them alive.

Please send your recipes/culinary stories until Sunday, February 2nd via email to catalystarts@gmail.com.

Conditions for submissions:

Texts should not be longer than 1 A4 page, not formatted and submitted in a doc, txt or rtf format.
If possible, please add 1-3 images (generally related to your recipe; print resolution, 300 dpi, including copyrights).

Each successful submission will be printed in the First We Eat cookbook which will be released as a limited edition of 100 on the last day of the exhibition on March 5th. Every participant will receive one free printed copy.
