something inbetween the teeth

David Sherry

11 November - 9 December 2006

David Sherry’s work revolves around themes of human relations and social convention. By applying mild altercations to his own life, Sherry investigates settled patterns of communication and the systematic processes of day to day life. Very often his work evolves from a series of drawings and takes on a more narrative theme through performance and video pieces.

Sherry likes to focus on actions that affirm a human identity. Normal activities attach us to a comfortable location. His work scrutinises these procedures and defines a human mode of orientation.
