Artist Led Archive

Conceived by artist and curator Megs Morley in response to a practial and conceptual enquiry into artist-led culture in Ireland.

The archive initiates debate and critical thinking into the sometimes contested 'histories' of artist-led organisations, celebrating the work of past initiatives and exposing the roots of some of our oldest cultural vehicles. In doing so, it creates a resource tool and context for future initiatives. Also on show for the duration of the exhibition will be the work of artist in residence, Duncan Ross. His highly subjective and discriminatory study of Catalyst's own archive will be described in a wall based mind map and a video montage culled from multi media remnants.
